The soil Remediation Research Institute is mainly engaged in the improvement of obstructed farmland soil, improvement of saline-alkali land, enhancement of poor soil quality, protection of black soil, high standard farmland soil fertilization, as well as the research on the utilization of the agricultural waste. In the field of salinization-alkalization land improvement, research has been conducted on alkali adjustment, salt resistance, reduction of soil obstacles, construction of a healthy soil system, and improvement of soil quality. After a decade of study, four core technologies have been formed: directional control of water and salt transport, safe consumption of sodium content and saline-alkali obstacles, soil fertilization, and green agricultural bio-efficiency. A saline-alkali land improvement model has been established for inland soda areas, coastal beach areas, Hetao River Basin, and northwest arid areas based on soil characteristics, and soil conditioners and biological agents from chemical and biological sources have been developed accordingly. This has led to an integrated improvement approach consisting of "scientific quick diagnosis," "targeted improvement plans," "specialized techniques + customized products," and "professional guidance steward services."

Over 40 national, provincial, major scientific and technological investment projects, municipal projects, and parallel projects have been leading the organization of the provincial industry-university-research alliance, "Liaoning Province Facility Agriculture Soil Health Technology and Application Industry-University-Research Alliance" and the municipal industry-university-research alliance, and the "Liaoning Shenyang Chemicalized Farmland Soil Quality Improvement Industry-University-Research Alliance", which led to the approvement of the Shenyang Soil Health Technology Innovation Center. 1、Saline-alkali soil improvement

Aiming at the problem of saline-alkali soil high pH, high salt content, low effective phosphorus, a single soil structure, fragile ecological environment, inhibition of crop growth, we build the technology to decrease the pH, improve soil structure, regulate the soil rhizosphere environment, promote soil fertility, and improve crop quality. Our technology has been applied in Heilongjiang, Jilin, Liaoning, Ningxia, Inner Mongolia, etc. The accumulative application area has reached more than 10000 mu.

 

2、Acid soil improvement

Aiming at the problem of acid soil low pH, low base saturation, low available nutrients, low beneficial microbial activity and active aluminium poisoning, we build the technology to reduce soil acidity, enhance soil fertility and increase crop yield, improve crop quality. At present, the technology has been applied in Hunan, Jilin province.

3、Sandy soil improvement

Aiming at the problems of poor water and fertilizer retention ability, low organic matter content and poor microbial habitat in sandy soil, an integrated technology was established to improve microbial community structure, improve soil water and fertilizer retention ability, promote soil nutrient circulation, improve crop yield and improve crop quality. 4、Black land protection
